A proud native of Morocco, Karim continues to treasure his roots while embracing the country he’s called home for over two decades—Canada. Since 2011, he’s settled in Quebec, captivated by its culture, cuisine, and charm.
At Bistango, Karim’s creative flair shines as he blends the bold flavors of Quebec’s local ingredients with the vibrant spices and techniques of his Moroccan heritage. Dishes like lamb with prunes, couscous, and almond-infused creations showcase his talent for balancing sweet and savory in ways that surprise and delight. With a PhD in biology and physics alongside his culinary expertise, Karim approaches food with both heart and precision, elevating each plate into a work of art.
Beyond the kitchen, Karim is a devoted father of two and a natural nurturer. His warmth and generosity are reflected not only in his family life but in every dish he crafts for Bistango’s guests. Each bite tells a story of passion, culture, and care, making him an irreplaceable part of the team and the experience.
